HP Pavilion x360 11-n010dx Review

on Wednesday, November 19, 2014
The all new HP Pavilion x360 11-n010dx 11.6 inch laptop is a 2 in design that allows you to convert from a laptop computer to a tablet making it a great option for users who typically purchase two separate devices to cover all there needs. With a light and slim design it should be most popular among consumers who find themselves on the go often and need something that can easily be carried around all day. Below we will review some of the benefits and downsides to this device and help you make the right choice for your next technology purchase.

HP Pavilion x360 11-n010dx Specifications

Processor: Intel Pentium N3520 2.17 Ghz
Memory: 4 GB DDR3L
Harddrive: 500 GB SATA
Screen: 11.6 Inch Touchscreen

Benefits of the HP Pavilion x360 11-n010dx

The biggest benefits are very obvious when first looking at this device, and that is it’s lightweight and portable design. With a weight of just 3.1 pounds and only 0.9 inches thick it is easy to have on you all day long when on the go. To top off the lightweight design the ability to flip between laptop and tablet due to it’s 360 degree hinge is a very nice touch.
While it is a slim and small device HP has still been able to fit 3 fully functional USB ports onto it with one also running on the newer and faster USB 3.technology.
The combination of touchscreen and Windows 8.1 means you are ready right out of the box to take advantage of all the latest benefits from this technology and you will quickly find that touchscreen makes working with a laptop that much more enjoyable.

While the benefits of going with a larger SATA drive are nice we still would prefer to see a faster SSD in a portable device such as this. The added benefits of performance and battery life seem to outweigh the little bit of extra storage space they have been able to provide by going with the 500 GB SATA drive.
With no options to expand memory you will be limited by the specifications that HP has decided to include and upgrading will not be an easy option if you decide you want more performance from this device.
Overall this looks to be a great option for the on the go user who still wants the benefits of a laptop and tablet but without having to have multiple devices. It may lack some of the performance you see in larger sized models but still provides plenty for most average users.
